January Ceili at John C. Wood Center
and June Performance at Potomac Celtic Festival
Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann sponsors a ceili the second
Saturday of every month from September through May, and features the Bogwanders
Ceili Band. This five piece band is often joined by other musicians to
ratchet up the electricity in the room. In June the ceili is moved to
another Saturday so as not to conflict with the Potomac Celtic Festival.
The location is the Green Acre Center in Fairfax City. (See Front Page
for directions.)

The CCE dancers performed at the June 2004 Potomac Celtic Festival in Leesburg,
Virginia.. Some twenty dancers participated in figures from the Newport,
Mazurka, North Kerry, Lancers and Plain Sets and had audience
participation in the Siege of Ennis and other ceili dances.
