EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT
In the fall of
2003, Hunter Stewart, of 3000 Plantation Parkway, approached the
Mosby Woods Community
Association and the Mosby Woods
Condominium Association for support in rehabilitating the lot at the corner of
Ranger Road and Plantation Parkway.
Hunter wished to use the lots rehabilitation as his Eagle Scout project.
The condo association owns the lot.
The community association promised financial and other support. The
task
was to clear the lot, build a path
through it and build two benches.
The following pictures capture the
effort involved.

In the beginning was the woods.

The work involved scraping off the grass, removing two or more
inches of soil, installing forms,
adding crushed rock and rolling. Benches were built and added later.

A scout's mother rolls the path using a roller borrowed from the pool association.

The finished project. Ready for use.
The Stewart family wishes to thank the following Mosby Woods residents that
helped in the work:
Allen Griffith, Gary Rasmussen, Ann Laporte, Keith Urano, John O"Donnell, Hugh
Conway, Tom Schach,
Michael Ridd, and Heather Sachlis. Thanks also the Luckstone Corporation
of Chantilly for providing
the crushed stone and to Java Express for coffee and hot chocolate.
